line 1: was the book a Psalter or just a book? Who is Wigbeorht? Semle, Onomasticon, give his death as [c. 900?] – but the house of which he was abbot is not identified. Note that one Wigbeorht [Wigbertus] died as abbot of Fritzlar in 747: does Harley 1117 belong to the English or Continental recession of VCM? Harley 1117 is the CaCC, s. xii There was an abbot Wibert at the Cathedral priory there 1152/3-1167. Is the inscription in a 12th-c. hand? Check! the spelling suggests not!
